We want peace

I can never understand why the religious clerics always violate the law and order. In spite of being beneficial and loyal to their country, they always indulge themselves in destructive activities and along with anti-state forces cause damage to their motherland and fellow citizens. They try their best to challenge the writ of government b y declaring the law un-Islamic.

Recently, in order to revive the peace in Swat, Federal Government made a pact with Sufi Muhammad and allowed to set up Islamic Justice Regulation System in the district. A number of political parties (including ANP and PML-N) fully supported the Prime Minister in this noble cause. However, PPP’s allied MQM opposed and criticized the act. They said that the decision was made on gunpoint and they were not agreed. They also predicted that the subject decision will strengthen all anti-state extremists and they might get stronger in other parts of the country.

Unfortunately, MQM’s prediction came true when Taliban started leaning towards Islamabad. It was beyond the limits. Government took a bold step and called in Pakistan Army to deal with the militants. Pakistan Army started their operation and they have killed many militants in last couple of days. We fully support our brave army men in their war against terror.

Nawaz Sharif sets a new example

It put PML-N Head Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif into a test condition when one of his party’s MNA Haji Pervez Khan was found guilty for getting his FA certificate by illegal way. He paid another person to appear in the written exam on his behalf. However, the hired person was caught redhanded in the examination hall.

Nawaz Sharif has been emphasizing on the rule of law in the country for last two years. That’s why everone was looking at him. Yesterday, PML-N inquiry committee submitted their investigation report on the subject matter and it was proved that Haji Pervez was involved in the act. Mian Nawaz Sharif advised him to submit his resignation from the membership of National Assembly which he obeyed.

Another example of Hypocrisy

In our society, the religious clerics have always got a negative impression in the general public. People don’t like them and avoid to send their children to Madrassas. This is only because most of these molvis spend their lives using double standards. One recent example of hypocrisy is Maulana Abdul Aziz. He was the Imam of Lal Mosque, Islamabad. In 2007, a number of students along with Ghazi Abdul Rasheed were killed by armed forces during an action. Maulana Abdul Aziz tried to flee wearing a burqa. However, he was arrested by the government. His wife Umme Hassaan also got famous for leading the anti-state activities. A number of female students were also killed.

Now Maulana Abdul Aziz has been bailed out. Upon his release, he has announced not to register any case against Gen (R) Pervez Musharraf. He said that he has left the case of Musharraf to Allah. Such hypocritic behaviour has made all the nation to believe that these molvies always keep double standards and they are interested only towards eating their own halwa.kaunkehtahai1

Syed Munawar Hasan becomes new Ameer (Head) of JI

After the recent elections in JI, Mr. Syed Munawar Hasan has been elected as the new Ameer. Qazi Hussain Ahmad led Jamaat Islami for a period of 22 years since 1987 after Mian Tufail Muhammad. Qazi’s period as Ameer can never be forgotten. During his tenure, Islami Jamiat Talaba tortured the students belonging to MSF, PSF and APMSO. Even the students of UET Lahore remained in fear. Jamiat members always tortured on the innocent students when they were fooling their juniors which is a normal activity. Qazi Sahib was also responsible for strengthening the Dictator Musharraf by supporting and approving the nutorious 17th amendment. However, he parted his ways from Musharraf on the issue of Hudood ordinance.

He played a great role in restoration of judiciary. iHs role in last 2 years has been remarkable and he has given a good face to JI. We wish him a happy life ahead.

Zardari’s address to the Parliamant

President of Pakistan Mr. Asif Ali Zardari addressed to the joint session of parliament on 28th March, 2009. He has been lucky that no one disturbed the session and everything went off peacefully. President once again asked the political parties to form a committee that can review the 17th amendment and Clause 58 – 2 (B) so that the powers may be handed over to the democratic government rather than the presidency. People of Pakistan were expecting that Zardari will withdraw these powers himself as he would have learnt a lesson from the recent movement. However, President Zardari has once again dasappointed them.

Mumbai attacks and then Lahore attack have raised many questions about the future of cricket in the south asian region. Pakistan, India and Sri Lanka are all the former World Champions of Cricket. However, recently Bangladesh apologized to invite Pakistan on a visit as they cannot assure security to the team and officials. Similarly, in India, there are many security issues that affect the credibility of security measurements. Now, IPL which is Indian Domestic Cricket League, has been shifted to the grounds of South Africa. This recent activity has put the Indo-Pak Cricket on a path that ends with the game of Cricket. World Cup 2011 is to be played in South Asia. However, now it is not sure that teams would like to come to play.sachin_tendulkar_0031

Shame on you, Molvi Diesel!!!

On 15th March, 2009 every Pakistani was waiting for the restoration of the deposed judiciary that was coming ahead of the Long march. At this time, it was needed to resolve the issue by bringing nation and rulers closer so that the country might come out of crisis. Maulana Fazal ur Rehman (a.k.a Molvi Diesel) issued a very shameful statement in his interview with media. He termed the long march a movement that was run and managed only by the people of Punjab. He raised the issue of provincialism by saying that Mian Nawaz Sharif and his party members were conspiring against the federation and they were creating rifts among Punjab and the other provinces.

Taking negative edge from Molvi Diesel’s statement, MQM alleged PMLN that their workers had raised slogans against Sindh province. I condemn both Fazal ur Rehman and MQM for their very irresponsible behavior. Maulana Sahib is son of a very pious religious cleric Mufti Mahmood who played a pivotal role in Tehreek-e- Khatame Nabuwwat. Maulana Sahib must keep the honour of his late father’s services for the country.PAKISTAN/

Restoration of Judiciary in Pakistan

The long time struggle and movement from all democratic minded people of Pakistan brought fruit when the President Mr. Asif Ali Zardari had to reinstate the Non-functional CJP Justice Mr. Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry back to the position he was carrying on Nov. 3, 2007. He was dismissed by the Dictator Army Chief Gen Pervez Musharraf.

It all happened when the political parties, civil society, and the lawyers started off for long march and sit-in at Islamabad. The main rally was being led by Mian Nawaz Sharif. On his way, at Gujranwala, he was informed about the change. Mr. Yousaf Raza Gillani, the Prime Minister in his address to the nation at early morning on 16th March 2009, announced to reinstate all the judiciary.

All the nation is very happy and is celebrating the historical event.2504340019_0c24c7d0ce

Salute to the Defenders of Liberty

March 3, 2009 (aka 3/3) has become one of the worst days in the history of Pakistan. It was the day when a group of militants attacked on Sri Lankan Team in Liberty Chowk Lahore. Young men of Elite Force sacrificed their lives. A Traffic Police Wardern Tanvir Iqbal was also myrtered on the occasion. Today I salute all of them for defending the beloved motherland and the guest Sri Lankan Team members.

Government has removed all billboards from the circle and has placed boardds with pictures of those who sacrificed their lives. I would also request my friends and viewers to visit Liberty Market Round About and pay homage to these defenders of Liberty.
